FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham will open its Emergency Operations Center at 9 a.m. Sunday, August 22 for storm-related emergency calls.

If you have an emergency that needs immediate police or fire response, call 9-1-1.

Hurricane Henri is expected to hit landfall today, but will be Tropical Storm Henri by the time it reaches MetroWest.

MeroWest will not see hurricane-force winds but will see damaging gusts, that could cause power outages, according to MEMA.

The region also will see heavy rain – forecasted at about 2-3 inches, the same it received for Tropical Storm Fred on Thursday.

However, this will be a long duration storm that will start today, August 22 and continue into Monday, August 23.
