ASHLAND – The upper level of the Ashland Public Library will be open on Monday, August 23, but the children’s room will continue to be closed, due to flooding caused by Tropical Storm Fred last week.

The children’s are will be “inaccessible as we brace for any effects of Henri and consider the best ways to prevent any further issues in the room,” announced the library, today, August 22.

“But, we brought lots of books upstairs for the kids so feel free to browse in our “pop-up” children’s library in the historic area of the library. Children’s holds are also upstairs for now – the library staff is always finding creative ways to get books into your hands,” said the library on social media.

Tropical Storm Henri is expected to roll into MetroWest today and Monday, August 23.
