WESTON – The day after the September primary election, Caroline Colarusso, Republican challenger to Congresswoman Katherine Clark (MA-5), appeared in Weston, to participate in a candidate forum
hosted by the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC).
Caroline Colarusso answered questions from the people of the district, while Katherine Clark, who failed to acknowledge the invitation from the national senior organization, was a “no-show.” Colarusso sat at
the forum table next to an empty seat and an accompanying name card that read Katherine Clark.
Yet on the very same day, Congresswoman Clark posted on her Facebook page that she was in Woburn, just 12 miles from the Weston venue.

“It is completely unacceptable that Congresswoman Clark was unwilling to drive from Woburn to Weston to participate in our candidate forum,” said Colarusso. “Last month, Katherine Clark found time to travel with a congressional delegation to Africa to discuss climate change initiatives. Over Labor Day weekend, she was in the city of Boston, miles outside the district she represents, to participate in a labor rally.”
“It is crystal clear that Congresswoman Clark is not focused on serving the people of her own district because she is interested in raising her global and national political profile.” Colarusso told the
Weston gathering, “Congresswoman Clark is blatantly ignoring her voters. This speaks volumes to her arrogance. She takes the voters of her district for granted and assumes no obligation to answer their
questions. It’s a slap in the face to taxpayers, and it’s wrong.”

Colarusso continued to say that Representative Clark is hiding from her constituents. “Why is she afraid to answer your questions on record inflation, crippling energy costs, school choice, social security,
and Medicare? Katherine Clark, where are you?”
