NORTHBRIDGE – Ralph E. Boartfield of Northbridge, passed away at 67 after a battle with cancer.

Born in Atlanta, he grew up in Lawrenceville, Georgia.

Following high school, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as a chemical engineer for over 13 years.

After the military he was a Q.A. manager for Breyers Ice Cream in Framingham until its closing.

He is survived by his former spouse Diana Palmer and their 3 children, Jennifer Bernard, Jami Thomas, Brian Boartfield, his daughter April Flowers, his stepchildren Jessica and Michael Seiders. He leaves 6 siblings, 13 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
