FRAMINGHAM – Framingham High hosted the Whalers of New Bedford High in week 9 action of the football season today, November 5, at Bowditch Field.

The Flyers did not qualify for the MIAA football tourney, so the team is playing in the consolation round of games, leading up to its Thanksgiving rivalry with Natick High.

New Bedford won the game 28-8.

Offensively, Ben Lincoln scored a rushing touchdown followed by 2 off-side penalties by New Bedford which led to a successful 2-point conversion. 

Lincoln was the leading rusher and Yeandiel Cora was the leading receiver.

Defensively, linebacker Henry Goldberg had a fumble recovery in the third quarter. 

Caiden Whitney got the one sack of the game. 

Bellott Kabongo got an interception, which led to the Flyers lone touchdown.
