1 Framingham and MetroWest are in a flood watch today.

2. Today is election day in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Polls are open in Framingham until 8 p.m.

Besides state-wide offices Framingham will be elected a new state representative for the 6th Middlesex District.

There are 3 Democrats on the ballot for that seat and no Republican names on the ballot for that seat, which means barring a write-in candidacy, whomever wins on September 6 will be the new state representative for Framingham residents in Precincts 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-10-11-12-13-14-15-16, and a part of Precinct 9.

One of the 3 Democrats, Dhruba Sen announced he was pausing his campaign on August 22.

On the Democratic ballot is Sen, School Committee Chair Priscila Sousa and former City Councilor Margareth Shepard. (Click on each name to read a Q&A with the candidate SOURCE conducted in August)

The City of Framingham expanded from 18 Precincts in 9 Districts to 27 Precincts in 9 districts, due to the 2020 Census.

That means that many voters in the City of Framingham have a new Precinct number, and some will be voting at a new location today.
