FRAMINGHAM – There were 9 applicants for vice principal at Barbieri Elementary School, said Framingham Assistant Superintendent of Schools Inna London.
A new vice principal has not been chosen as of noon today, August 9.
The first day of school is September 1.
In February 2021, interim Barbieri Elementary Principal Maria Davis was made the permanent principal at the k-5 2-way bilingual school.
The position was post on March 31.
There are three candidates for the post now, said London.
“Applicants meet with a school based committee formed by teachers, coaches and administrators,” explained Assistant Superintendent London. “Then finalists are selected to meet with a committee of parents and senior leaders. Finally, a meet and greet with Assistant Superintendents and the principal makes the final decision.”
