FRAMINGHAM – Former King Elementary School Principal Marguerite Lackard is the new Vice Principal at Walsh Middle School.

Dr. Lackard will replace James Bergeron who is now the new King Elementary Principal.

Dr. Lackard was the math department head for Walsh Middle in 2018-2019.

In June 2019, Superintendent Tremblay named her the new principal of George P. King Elementary School on Water Street.

Dr. Lackard took a leave of absence in the fall of 2019, and it was announced in January 2020 she would remain on leave through the end of that school year. She did not return to King for the 2020-21 school year.

Framingham Assistant Superintendent of Schools Inna London told SOURCE that Walsh Middle School had a vice principal search committee comprised of teachers and support staff.

There were four candidates for vice principal, including one internal candidate, Dr. Lackard.

The district interviewed her and hired Dr. Lackard to replace Bergeron.

Dr. Lackard has worked for the Framingham Public Schools since 2000.

Prior to that, she was a Medical Consultant Boston Juvenile Court in Boston and a Pediatric Physician at Boston Medical Center in Boston.
