FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery at a gas station in the Coburnville neighborhood of Framingham.

The incident happened on Wednesday, July 7, at after 10 p.m. at Prime Energy at 655 Waverley Street in Framingham.

“While locking up the business, an employee was approached by a man holding a knife,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

“This man told them to open the door to the business. The victim was able to run away and the suspect ran off towards Fountain Street,” said Lt. Mickens.

The suspect was described to police as about “5’4″ – 5’6″, wearing a long green winter coat, and a black mask,” said Lt. Mickens.
