FRAMINGHAM – Yesterday, Framingham Police Chief Lester Baker awarded a letter of merit to Framingham Police Officers Brett Moreau and Zakery Walker for their efforts to apprehend a suspect wanted for murder.

On Wednesday, February 17 Officer Moreau and trainee Officer Zakery Walker were working the day shift. At approximately 12:12 p.m. both Moreau and Walker were monitoring traffic at the intersection of Concord and Cochituate Road when they observed a red Dodge Ram pick-up traveling in the area, explained Deputy Police Chief Sean Riley.

The vehicle matched the description of the truck stolen earlier in the morning on Edmands Road in Framingham, said the deputy police chief.

“Officer Moreau and Walker conducted felony motor vehicle stop and took the operator into custody,” said Deputy Police Chief Riley “During the booking process, it was learned the suspect had an outstanding warrant for murder, which occurred in New Hampshire days earlier.”
