FRAMINGHAM – A Framingham man, 43, was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of alcohol for the second time, among other charges, after a crash on Hollis Street early Saturday, May 8.

Arrested at 3-2 Hollis Street at 12:45 a.m. was Antonio DeOliveira, 43, of 9 Weld Street in Framingham.

He was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense, operating a motor vehicle after license suspended, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and failure to stay within mark lanes.

A driver of a motor vehicle on Hollis Street was “nearly struck head on by DeOliveira,” said Framingham Police spokesperson Sgt. Rachel Mickens.

That driver “swerved” but the vehicle driver by DeOliveira struck the side of the vehicle, according to police.

“Further investigation and information from witnesses led officers to believe DeOliveira was operating under the influence,” said Sgt. Mickens.

There were no injuries, said Sgt, Mickens.
