MARLBOROUGH – Luis Alberto Rodriguez, 61, of Worcester, died Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at UMASS Memorial Medical Center after a recent illness.

He was the husband of Maria D. (Valencia) Rodriguez for the past 35 years.

He was born in El Transito, San Miguel, El Salvador, the son of Luis Chaves and Teresa Rodriguez, and was a graduate of Usulutan High School.

After moving to the United States in 1978, he received his Commercial Driver’s License.

Luis was a truck driver for Cavicchio Greenhouses in Sudbury for the last 20 years.

In his free time he enjoyed listening to music, working on cars, gardening, building puzzles, and watching soccer and football. He will be remembered as dedicated, outgoing, fearless, and loyal. Luis was truly the person that would give you the shirt off his back. He loved helping others.  He lived for his children and his family. 

In addition to his wife Maria, he leaves a son Andrew A. Rodriguez and his wife Melissa  of Rutland; a daughter Natalie L. Rodriguez of Worcester; a sister Maria Rodriguez of California; two grandchildren, Emma R. and Liana G. Rodriguez, both of Rutland. 

Funeral services and burial will be private.
