FRAMINGHAM – Since Monday, the City of Framingham announced 21 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19.
That makes 62 residents have tested positive in the last week and 100 residents in the last 14 days.
With that increase, the state has designated Framingham as a high-risk community for COVID-19.
The City’s free, drive-thru testing site at Keefe Technical High School ended last Friday. The City has yet to identify a new drive-thru site.
There is a free walk-up testing at Amazing Things on Tuesdays & Thursdays only.
The City said it has 145 active cases of the coronavirus.

There have been a total of 1,958 coronavirus cases in the City of Framingham in 2020.
The good news is 1,690 individuals have recovered.
There have been 123 Framingham individuals have died from the COVID-19 or complications from the virus, since the pandemic began.
In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 76 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham. So more than 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.
The City announced in June instead of daily updates on the coronavirus, it will now only provide updates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
