1 The Framingham School Committee voted 8-1 last night to start school remotely for the 2020-21 school year.

City of Framingham meetings (all meetings will be held remotely unless noted):

  • Framingham School Committee at 7 p.m. will hold a joint meeting with the Framingham Board of Health.

2. Amplify LatinX will host a conversation with the President of Framingham State F. Javier Cevallos and the University’s first Vice President for Diversity Inclusion and Community Engagement Constanza Cabello for a discussion on their journey and leadership today. The 10 a.m. panel is called “Leading Through Times of Uncertainty,” it will feature Cevallos with Cabello moderating.

3. Framingham Farmers’ Market is open today from noon to 5:30 p.m. at the Framingham Centre Common.

4. Today is National Cheesecake Day. The Cheesecake Factory will be releasing a new flavor, “the Chocolate Caramelicious Cheesecake Made With Snickers.” The Cheesecake Factory will also be donating $1 to Feeding America for every slice of its more than 30 legendary flavors of cheesecake sold on Thursday, July 30, 2020.

5.According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer has no public events.

The mayor’s political campaign is holding a fundraiser tonight with African-American woman mayors.
