FRAMINGHAM – At the start of the school year the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School Wolves became the Harmony Grove Elementary School Wolves.
The school’s mascot remained the same – Wolfie – design the new name of the school.
The school held a contest to design a new sweatshirt logo for the school.
Fifth grader Gusthavo Oliveira created the winning design. A school-wide vote was held on November 19.
The K-5 elementary school is “working with a graphic designer and a sweatshirt company to design our school’s new Harmony Grove sweatshirts using Gusthavo’s Wolfie design. We hope to have order forms ready to distribute for this fundraiser soon, so that we can order sweatshirts to raise money for our school and to keep us warm in this colder weather,” said the administration to families.

One student per classroom was named a semifinalist in the contest.
Oliveira and four other finalists were chosen.
All semi-finalists, finalists, and the winner received special Certificates of Recognition for their dedication and creativity with their sweatshirt designs (pictured below).
“This sweatshirt design competition is a wonderful example of student agency, which is a very important part of being an International Baccalaureate (IB) school! We try to promote student agency through opportunities to honor student voices (perspectives), student choices (opinions & interests), and student ownership (responsibility & leadership),” said the administration.
