Mary E. Doherty, 73, a longtime resident of Framingham and most recently Natick died Saturday, November 18, 2023 after a period of declining health. Born in Framingham. She was the daughter of the late Joseph R. & Charlotte T. (McManus) Doherty.

Mary attended St. Stephen’s Elementary School, and was a 1969 graduate of Framingham South High School. She did clerical work for the Framingham Trust, the Town of Wellesley, and most recently the Framingham Housing Authority.

Mary was a devout, lifelong parishioner of St. Stephen Parish. Her love for animals came a close second to her faith.  She was a Boston sports fan, particularly the Red Sox, and was a longtime member of the Framingham Heart Study.

Mary is survived by several dear friends, fellow parishioners, and her beloved cat Larnie.

Her friends would like to extend special thanks to the Natick Fire and Police Departments for the courtesy they showed Mary over the past few years.

Her friends will honor and remember Mary’s life by gathering for a time of visitation in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Wednesday morning, November 29th from 9 – 10:30 AM.  Her Funeral Mass will follow in St. Stephen Church, 221 Concord St. Framingham at 11 o’clock.  Interment in Edgell Grove Cemetery with her family.
