NEWTON – The Natick High gymnastics team won the Bay State Conference meet on Saturday.

The Redhawks finished in first place with 141.1 points, a new school record, said coach Tara McDonald.

The defending champions Framingham Flyers finished in second place.

Natick junior Noelle Rivera finished fourth in the all-around competition.

Freshmen Clara Keith was eighth on the vault with senior Erica Lopas ninth.

Lopas captured fifth place overall on the uneven bars.

Natick junior Neve Knowlton finished second on the balance beam, with junior Katie Dorey fourth overall.

Freshmen Clara Keith and junior Noelle Rivera tied for second place in the floor exercises.

It was the Redhawks best event with Dorey in fourth, junior Lucy Managoin 5th and Knowlton taking 6th place.

“We have a young team and are looking forward to the next few years!! They have worked tremendously hard and our the true definition of team,” said the coach.

Tracey Gondelman is the head coach for the gymnastics team.
