FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University ice hockey team scored three second period goals tying the game before Plymouth answered with a pair of third period goals to secure a 5-3 victory  this evening in Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) action at Loring Arena.   

     

INSIDE THE NUMBERS 

  • The Panthers got on the board first just under five minutes into the game. Niks Krollis took a feed from Rider McCallum and found the back of the net from straight on. 
  • The Panthers added a pair of goals late in the quarter from Colin Tracy and Will Redick to take a 3-0 lead into the locker room after one. 
  • The Rams got on the board in the opening minutes of the second when Johnny Baker converted unassisted. 
  • Framingham added two more to close the period tying the game at 3-3 after two.  Dylan Marty found the back of the net off feeds from Baker and Ashton Collazo with just under six to play in the quarter.

  • Tyler Westfall tied the game when he flicked a shot into the top corner with 2:39 to go in the frame. 
  • The Panthers tallied the game-winner just over midway through the third when Connor Tait found the back of the net. They added an insurance goal when Ethan Stuckless found the back of the net with just under three to play.     

UP NEXT:  The Rams are back in action on Saturday when they travel to Rivier for a non-league game at 7 p.m.  

The Panthers travel to Salem for a MASCAC game on Saturday at 2 p.m.
