BOSTON – The Framingham High boys soccer team improved to 7-1-2, with a shutout victory over Boston Latin, on the road today, October 3.

The Flyers won the non-league game 3-0.

Framingham started out slowly on a windy raw day.

“After a scoreless first half we made some strategy and personnel adjustments and the team responded with a three goal half,” said Coach Jon Wood.

Senior wing Yuri Teixeira got the Flyers on the board with a steal, a breakaway, and a finish, said Coach Wood.

Junior midfielder Brendan Walker got the Flyers second goal on a beautiful header off of a corner kick, said Coach Wood.

Junior forward Kaik Reis finished the scoring on a nice shot in the box.

Junior goalie Sam Alexander earned the shutout for Framingham.

“He made a great save on a penalty kick on his way to the victory,” said Coach Wood.

Defensively, the Framingham squad was led by senior captains Ben Sharon, Liam Gilbert, and Tyler Knox.

Framingham’s next game is on the road again. This time against the Wildcats of Weymouth High on Thursday, October 6.
