FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Technical boys cross-country team held its first-ever varsity race at Farm Pond Park on Tuesday, September 27.

Unfortunately, the Broncos lost 21-40 to Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School out of Fitchburg.

The good news is that “every single runner on the team ran faster than our intra-squad time trial 3 weeks ago,” said head coach Jeff Beling.

Keefe Tech junior Connor Bingham finished second overall and first for the Broncos in 19.39 minutes.

Senior Liam Regan finished second for the Broncos and 5th overall on the 3.1-mile course yesterday. His time was 21.25 minutes.

Both the boys and the girls cross-country teams ran the race at the same time.

Keefe Tech sophomore Connor Bakstran finished 10th overall in 22:38 minutes, with teammate Evan Lewis 11th overall in 22:39 minutes.

Senior Ayden Giombetti was 13th overall in 23.29 minutes.

Junior Felix Marshall and sophomore Michael Flaven were 16th and 18th overall for the Broncos.

Keefe Technical is now 1-2 this season.

Their next meet is away against Assabet Valley on October 4.
