FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Technical High School girls cross-country team won its first meet since 2013, yesterday, September 27, said head coach Jeff Beling.

The Broncos defeated Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School out of Fitchburg 28-29.

It was also the first varsity meet ever for the Broncos on the Farm Pond park course, yesterday.

“Every single runner on the team ran faster than our intra-squad time trial 3 weeks ago,” said Coach Beling.

Keefe Tech junior Grace Arena crossed the finish line second overall in 26.03 minutes.

Broncos runner Mairipaz Ramos finished 5th overall in 31:31 minutes.

Keefe Tech runners also captured 6-7-8-9 place to take the one-point victory

Senior Olivia Klein was 6th in 34.02 minutes.

Junior Kiyomi Erickson was 7th overall in 34:23 minutes.

Senior Waldah Namatovu was 8th overall in 44:28 minutes.

Freshman Madelyn Manchester was 9th overall in 45:37 minutes.

Keefe Tech is now 1-2 this season.

The Broncos are away for their next meet on October 4 against Assabet Valley Regional.
