FRAMINGHAM – An 11-year old Coton de Tulear dog had to be euthanized, after an attack by another dog, said Framingham Police.

Last Wednesday, August 3, a Rottweiler-mix got out of its yard, and attacked the 11-year-old dog that was being walked, said the police spokesperson Lt. Rachel Mickens.

The coton de tulear dog being walked was seriously injured, said Lt. Mickens.

The incident was in the police log for yesterday, August 9. The public police log noted “animal complaint” at 1:31 p.m. on August 9 at 55 Sloane Drive, which is in the Potter Road neighborhood.

Lt. Mickens told SOURCE the “injured dog had to be euthanized” on Sunday.

The Rotweiler-mix dog is 6 years old and does have a license, said Lt. Mickens.

The dog is currently in a 10-day quarantine.
