2. City Council Chair Phil Ottaviani Jr. and his wife School Committee Clerk Valerie Ottaviani hosted the Mayor of Salem Kim Driscoll last night. Driscoll is a candidate for Lt. Governor on the September 6 ballot. Several dozen people attended the fundraiser last night.

4. Christa McAuliffe Library branch hosts Terrifying Campfire Tales for the Whole Family at 7 p.m. in the Astronaut’s Grove. The event is free, and features author Erin Dionne of Framingham.
