FRAMINGHAM – Framingham Parks & Recreation held its 3rd community corner Friday, August 5 at Anna Murphy Park in the Coburnville-Tripoli neighborhood.

New this year, the Community Corner, offers field games, books, a reading corner, arts and crafts, and a touch-a-truck featuring fire trucks, cruisers, and police motorcycles.

The 2-hour drop-in program is organized by the Framingham Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with the Framingham Police Department, Framingham Fire Department, the Library Bookmobile, and the MetroWest YMCA.

Today’s community corner had few attendees but the heat index was close to 100 degrees.

A couple of the kids played basketball, along with Library Trustee Isabella Petroni. Some of the police officers played a pick-up game with the neighborhood kids.
