FRAMINGHAM – State Senator Jamie Eldridge, a Democrat, was in Framingham over the weekend to give his endorsement and support to former City Councilor Margareth Shepard for state representative for the newly-created 6th Middlesex District seat.

The Shepard campaign held a pizza & ice cream party for supporters on Saturday afternoon.

Rep. Jack Lewis, who has endorsed Shepard and has been actively campaigning for her, also attended the event.

The primary election is Tuesday, September 6.

There are 3 Democrats in the race.

There is no Republican candidate so whomever wins on September 6, barring a successful write-in campaign, will win the seat.
