FRAMINGHAM – Framingham state representative candidate Priscila Sousa opened her new campaign headquarters today, July 24, at 68 South Street.

“It was great, but hot day for the open house at our new campaign headquarters at 68 South Street. Our community needs an accessible state representative who is their full time champion in the State House. I will be that on day one. There will be more events in the upcoming weeks at our HQ and I encourage anyone interested in volunteering to drop by,” said Sousa.

Sousa, who is chair of the Framingham School Committee, is one of three Democrats running for the newly-created 6th Middlesex District seat.

The primary election is Tuesday, September 6.

There is no Republican candidate so whomever wins on September 6, barring a successful write-in campaign, will win the seat.

The new 6th Middlesex District is an all-Framingham District. It is comprised of new City of Framingham Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 , 14, 15, 16 and a portion of precinct 9. The majority of the Precincts are located in South Framingham or in the 01702 zip code.
