1 Several City of Framingham departments have teamed up to host Community Corner this summer at a handful of locations throughout the City. The first event will be at Butterworth Park, off Grant Street today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Framingham Public Library bookmobile will be there, as will Framingham Police, Framingham Fire, Framingham Parks & Recreation and the MetroWest YMCA. Families can attend the event for free. They will find field games, books, reading corner, arts and crafts, and music.

2. Tonight’s concert on the Framingham Centre Common at 630 p.m. will feature On July 8, Soulshaker, a guitar-driven hard rockin’ blues.

3. CITY OF FRAMINGHAM meetings (all remote unless noted):

  • Framingham Board of Library Trustees: Advocacy Subcommittee at 10 a.m.

Just a reminder that City Hall closes at 2 p.m. on Fridays.

4. Jack’s Abby has unveiled a new lager fit for a King – specifically National Geographic’s new King Tut exhibit in Boston. The exhibit opens today.

5. The Framingham Public Library concludes its dog training series today from noon to 1 p.m. in the learning yard at the main Framingham Library on Lexington Street.

BONUS: Speaking of the Library, the Framingham Public Library Foundation and the Framingham Public Library is hosting Noche de Fiesta on Saturday, July 23.

The event is free, but the first 500 people who register will receive a free FIESTA bag at the event. More than 100 people had registered by July 5.
