Former Framingham COO To Become Marblehead Town Administrator

FRAMINGHAM – Former City of Framingham Chief Operating Officer Thatcher Kezer III is set to become the new Town Administrator for the Town of Marblehead.

Kezer is the former Mayor of Town of Amesbury, and was former Mayor Yvonne Spicer’s only COO during her 4-year administration.

Kezer had a rocky relationship with the first City Council in 2018-2019 and the relationship deteriorated during 2020-2021.

Kezer is a retired lieutenant colonel in the Massachusetts Air National Guard.

Marblehead Select Board voted unanimously to hire Kezer, after the other two finalists withdrew their names from consideration before the public interview process.

The Select Board interviewed Kezer as the lone finalist for the position after two other finalists pulled their names from consideration before the public interview.
