BOSTON – The Framingham High girls indoor track & field team finished 14 out of 33 teams at the MIAA Division 1 championship meet Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center, but that was not even close to the highlights yesterday.

The Framingham High girls 4X200 relay, which is ranked $1 in the state captured the Division 1 relay title in 1:46.21 minutes.

The sprinters now have the second best time of all-time at Framingham High School too.

The championship runners include sophomore Ella Terranova, senior captain Priscilla Mota, sophomore Abby Desmairas and junior Maya Bishop.

Desmairas finished third in the 300-meter race, breaking her own school record, she set just last week.

In the high jump competition, senior captain Trinity Trainor finished in 7th place, by leaping 5 feet. She qualified for nationals in New York City.

The Framingham High indoor track & field team now has 10 athletes who have qualified for nationals, said head coach Chris Collins.

Next up is the all-states competition next weekend.
