BOSTON – Framingham High junior captain Sam Burgess won the MIAA Division 1 title in the 2 mile Saturday at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston.

Burgess finished in 9:26.97 minutes, a personal best.

St. John’s Prep senior Charlie Tuttle was at 9:29.91 in second lace.

The Framingham High boys 4 by 800 relay team placed in eighth place at the divisional meet but set a new Framingham High indoor record with a time of 8:24.56 minuted.

Runners on the team were senior Shand Seiffert, junior Trevor Lipp, Burgess, and senior Arnav Singh.

Burgess had a personal best 1:59.7 minute split in that relay.

Brookline won the event in 8:12.18 minutes.

The Framingham High indoor track & field team finished 14th overall out of more than 30 teams yesterday, February 19.
