DESE: 76 Staff & 460 Students Test Positive For Coronavirus in Framingham

FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham Public School District reported 460 students cases and 76 staff cases of COVID between January 6-12 2022, according to the Massachusetts Department of Elementary & Secondary Education (DESE).

The Framingham Public Schools dashboard reported a total of 500 COVID cases during the same time frame, a difference of 36 less cases.

The district says 86.79% of the staff are vaccinated against the coronavirus.

The District’s data has 1,452 out of 1,673 staffers as fully vaccinated.

The City of Framingham has seen a surge in COVID cases since the holidays.

The City of Framingham has more than 3,300 active cases of COVID.

The City of Framingham announced 1,900 new cases on Wednsday.

On Friday, Mayor Charlie Sisitsky ordered a mask mandate starting January 21.
