FRAMINGHAM – Keefe Technical High School will have its first football game since 2019 on Saturday night.
The Broncos open the season on the road September 11 against Kipp Academy Lynn Collegiate. Kickoff is at 6 p.m. at Manning Field in Lynn.
“Since we did not have a season last year, we are looking to build upon our 2019 playoff run where we were the Division 8 North Finalists,’ said Head Coach Chris Bonneau.
The home opener is September 16 against Minuteman Tech
There are 45 players on the varsity team.

And while there is a season, the coronavirus pandemic is still having an impact on the Broncos.
“Masks, limited access to facilities and since the last time we played in 2019 we have lost 17 seniors. This did not allow for proper mentoring of the younger players,” said the head coach about that impact.
There are just 6 seniors on this year’s squad.
Captains this year are seniors Andrew Boudreau & Jereniel Oliveras.
The other seniors on the team are Sam Delaney, Ajani Luciano, Noah Montano-Rodriguez, and Kavaun Smith.
There are only 13 returning varsity players on the Broncos in 2021, less than one-third of the team.

The Broncos quarterback will be senior captain Boudreau.
“We are a young and energetic team and we are looking forward to seeing who develops as our best defensive player,” said the head coach.
The final scheduled game is October 22 against Worcester Tech, and then the Broncos see where they end up in the league postseason bracket.
