In the second half Shrewsbury tied the game at 1-1 and the rain increased in intensity.

The Flyers fought through it and scored the game winning goal with four minutes to play, said Coach Wood.

“Sophomore defender Gus dos Santos placed a beautiful free kick into the box and captain Halpin headed it home,” said Coach Wood. “”It was a big win.”

The Flyers have their home opener on Saturday September 11 against Boston Latin at 1:30 p.m. at Framingham High.
