FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham High boys cross-country team won its season opener against Milton High in a rain-soaked meet at Farm Pond Park yesterday, September 9.

Junior Sam Burgess won the 5,000-meter race in 16.47 minutes.

Senior Shand Seiffert was second across the finish line for the Flyers in 17.19 minutes.

Seniors Arnav Singh and Ryan Gaglione finished third and fourth for the Flyers in 18.06 and 18.10 minutes.

Junior Andrew Hohenstein finished fifth for the Flyers in 18.16 minutes.

Other Framingham varsity runners were senior Jordan Spector in 18.18 minutes, senior Jordan Book, senior Bryce Casey, sophomore Matthew Vilela, Freshman Harrison Barnett and freshman Andrew Feinblatt.

Next for the Flyers is a tri-meet against host Newton North High and Needham High on Friday, September 17.
