FRAMINGHAM – Teresa (Healy) Murphy, of Naples, Florida and formerly of Framingham, surrounded by her loving family, passed into eternal life September 2, 2021, at the age of 83. 

Teresa was the beloved wife of the late Noel T. Murphy and a cherished mother of Colleen King of Sandwich, MA, Linda Higgins and her husband John, of Leicester, MA, Kathy Terasconi and her husband Robert of Millville, MA, Karen Llewellyn of Wayland, MA and the late Noel P. Murphy.  She was a loved “Nana” of Madeline, Ashley, Jay, Amanda, Christina, Brendan, Jack, Sean and Ryan and a great grandmother, “Gigi”, of Raegan.  Teresa was the devoted daughter of the late Thomas and Marie Healy of Galway, Ireland, sister of Kathleen Hansbury of Ireland and predeceased by five dear brothers: Patrick, Thomas, Sean, Timothy, Michael and two sisters Bridget and Josephine.  She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Born in Clonkeen, Abbert, Menlough, County Galway, Ireland, Teresa arrived in America at the tender age of 16. 

She had the vision of the American dream where she met her soul mate of 61 years and built a loving family.  They believed in a strong faith in God, the importance of family and a strong work ethic.  Teresa and Noel loved the Irish dances, Sunday afternoon family dinners and a good game of “Pitch.”  Teresa had great musical talent.  She was blessed with a beautiful voice and the ability to play many instruments.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours Friday September 10 between 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Norton Funeral Home, 53 Beech Street Framingham, followed by  A Celebration of Life Funeral Mass to follow at St Bridget Parish, 830 Worcester Road, (Rt. 9) Framingham, MA at 11 a.m. Livestreaming of the service will also be available on www.harborview.live.
