FRAMINGHAM – Police arrested a man, 62, for failure to register as a sex offender on August 22.

It was the second time he was arrested on that charge in two months.

Arrested at Hollis & Irving Street on Sunday, August 22 at 6:26 p.m. was Matthew Joyce, who has no known address.

He was charged with failure to register as a sex offender.

Joyce was charged with the same crime on June 25 by Framingham Police.

The homeless are supposed to register every 30 days according to police.

Framingham Police Lt. Jorge Ruiz reported that Joyce had not registered, and then officers went out an arrested him this weekend.

In March of 2018, Joyce was convicted of “indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older.”

He has also been convicted in 2018 of “open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior.”
