FRAMINGHAM – Police officers arrested a man in downtown Framingham for failure to register as a sex offender, according to the police spokesperson.

Police arrested at 10:16 a.m. on Friday, June 25, Matthew Joyce, 62, with no known address, at 430 Waverly Street.

“He was placed in violation for failure to register as a sex offender and a warrant was issued,” said Sgt. Rachel Mickens.

in March of 2018, Joyce was convicted of “indecent assault and battery on a person aged 14 or older.”

He has also been convicted in 2018 of “open and gross lewdness and lascivious behavior.”
