FRAMINGHAM – About 200 individuals took the first-ever Framingham Police entry level exam today, August 14 at Keefe Technical High School.

The Framingham Police Department used to use civil service exams to determine candidates for police officers, but left that system last year.

The City of Framingham contracted with Police Exam Solutions to prepare and administer the department’s first non-civil service entry level police exam.

The Department recently earned re-accreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission and has been fully accredited since 2005. Accreditation represents a prestigious and significant achievement demonstrating the Department’s strong commitment to excellence in policing.
