MARLBOROUGH – Open burning season starts today, January 15 in Marlborough, and continues until May 1.

Due to COVID restrictions the Marlborough Fire Department lobby remains closed to the public and has moved the permitting process to online permits only.

Residents can go to our website at https://www.marlborough-ma.gov/fire-department and select the Open Burn Permit option.

Residents can fill out and submit the permit after reading the regulations.

Once submitted the permit is good for the entire season.

There is no fee associated with the permits.

Resident will not receive a copy of the permit, but are still required to call 508-624-6989 the morning they wish to burn to see if burning is allowed for that day, posted Marlborough Fire.
