MARLBOROUGH – The City of Marlborough today, September 25 announced 9 new positive COVID-19 cases since Wednesday.

The City is reporting a total of 1,195 cases, since the pandemic began.

Marlborough became one of the Commonwealth’s high-risk communities in the state with a rate of 8.4 on Wednesday.

8 cases per day over 100,000 people during a 14-day period is the threshold.

The City of Marlborough said its rate is now 9.2.

There have been 69 deaths.

The good news is that 1,087 individuals have recovered from the virus.

The City has 39 active cases.

The state announced Marlborough was one of the hardest hit communities for the virus and free testing would be made available for all residents, earlier this summer. The City is part of the state’s Stop the Spread campaign, which means free testing is available for all residents.
