FRAMINGHAM – Since Wednesday, the City of Framingham announced 8 more residents have tested positive for COVID-19.

Since Friday, there have been 52 new cases.

The state has designated Framingham as a high-risk community for COVID-19 community last month.

8.0 is the mark that designates a community as high-risk. Framingham is now at 10.9 per cases per day.

Framingham is 12th in the state with Coronavirus cases at 2,031.

And is 6th in the state over the last 14 days with an infection rate of 3.46%

The good news is 1,796 individuals have recovered.

There have been 125 Framingham individuals have died from the COVID-19 or complications from the virus, since the pandemic began.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department increased from 69 residents in on Monday to 95 on Wednesday to 166 today, September 4.

The City has 94 active cases as of Friday.
