1 The City Council, the legislative branch in the City of Framingham, plans to hold its meeting in the Blumer room in the Memorial Building tonight. It would be the first meeting since March. The public is asked not to attend but to watch on Facebook, the Government Channel or on Zoom. Meeting starts at 7 p.m. and it is a long agenda.

Other City of Framingham meetings (all meetings will be held remotely unless noted):

  • Framingham City Council: Appointments Subcommittee 5;30 p.m.
  • Framingham Library Trustees have cancelled their meeting for tonight.

2. The City Council will hold a public hearing tonight on a proposed apartment moratorium.

3. The Framingham Library Trustees voted last night to recommend to the Mayor to appoint Assistant Library Director Lena Kilburn as the new director of the Framingham Library. She was one of two finalists for the position. The other was the director of the Goodnow Library in Sudbury.

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a community zoom meeting at 5 p.m. on older Americans & COVID-19.

5. The Massachusetts Police Chief Association will hold a rally today in Framingham. The rally is against state legislation proposed that the chiefs believe will hurt police departments across the Commonwealth.
