FRAMINGHAM – The City of Framingham announced it has reached 1,700 positive coronavirus cases since the pandemic began in March 2020

Today, the City report another COVID-19 death. In total, there have been 101 deaths due to COVID-19 or complications from the virus.

Despite the slow down in cases, Framingham is still one of the top 12 communities in the state with coronavirus cases. Framingham ranks 14th in the state for the population.

The entire state of Vermont has had 1,119 coronavirus cases and 55 deaths.

The good news is 1,332 individuals have recovered, or more than 77%.

In addition to the active cases, the Framingham Health Department currently is following 126 residents in quarantine.

There are more than 70,000 residents in the City of Framingham.

So roughly, 2.5% of the city tested positive for the virus.
