3. Today is World Languages Day. Potter Road Elementary Principal Larry Wolpe delivered a message this morning. Potter Road elementary is a 2-way language school in English & Portuguese.

May 5 is the 55th day students have not been in the classroom.

4. According to the Mayor’s public schedule, Mayor Yvonne Spicer will hold a Zoom call from 5 to 6 p.m. to discuss mental health during this pandemic. Diane Gould from Advocates, Allison L. Parks, LMHC, from Wayside- MetroWest Community Services, and Ismael Rivera from Justice Resource Institute, Inc. will join the mayor to discuss how to maintain good mental health amid the COVID-19 pandemic

Yesterday, the Mayor’s political campaign sent out a reminder on the Zoom call and discussed the pandemic.

Just a reminder:

Framingham Public Schools are still distributing a free lunch (and breakfast) Monday through Friday at 4 schools from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. for all ages 18 and younger.

No forms or registration is required. Parents/guardians can pick up the meals with their children present. We encourage families to practice social distancing and not congregate at the meal pickup locations:

  • Cameron Middle School – 215 Elm Street
  • Barbieri Elementary School – 100 Dudley Road
  • Fuller Middle School – 31 Flagg Drive
  • Wilson Elementary School – 169 Leland S
