FRAMINGHAM – The 10th Annual Earth day Festival scheduled for the last weekend in April 2020, has been cancelled.

“It is with much disappointment that I write to inform you that we are going to cancel our 2020 festival amidst the turmoil affecting our planet right now,” wrote Framingham Earth day Festival Director Mike Croci today, on Facebook.

“For the past several days we have clung to a shred of hope that things would clear up quickly and we could host our beloved festival as part of the healing that we will all need,” wrote Croci. “With yesterday’s declaration from the Governor and recommendation from the CDC we finally have given in.”

Croci wrote that organizers “gave quick thought to rescheduling for some time later this year but that option will not work for us for a number of reasons. It’s time for us all to focus our efforts on other important things.”

Croci wrote the group will begin re-plan its 10th annual event now to be held on Saturday, April 24th, 2021, in the fall.
