FRAMINGHAM – The Framingham State University women’s basketball team used a 35-point second quarter en route to 87-50 defeat over MCLA in MASCAC action Saturday afternoon in Framingham.  

Framingham State is now 9-3 overall and 1-0 in the Conference.

MCLA drops to 0-12 overall.

INSIDE THE NUMBERS: 

  •  The Rams received double figures from four different scorers. Katty Haidul put up 20 points going 10-for-12 from the floor adding 13 rebounds two assists and a block in 23 minutes on the court. Flannery O’Connor put up 14 with five board, five steals and two rejections. Kelsey Yelle added 12 points from the bench with five rebounds and Krysta Padellaro added 11 points in just 17 minutes of work. 
  • MCLA earned a game-best 23 points from Brooke DiGennaro going a perfect 7-of-7 from the line. Shannon Carney added eight points and seven assists playing all 40 minutes for the Trailblazers.  
  • The Rams shot an impressive 57% from the field and 92% from the line compared to a 33% mark from the floor and 65% rate from the line for the visitors. The Rams were able to cash in on 24 points off turnovers and out rebounded the Trailblazers 44-to-18 which contributed to 18 second chance points for the Rams to just three for MCLA.  

 UP NEXT:  The Rams are scheduled to travel to Bridgewater State on Monday January 17th in makeup of the contest originally scheduled for Wednesday, January 5.
