Patricia Genevieve Trainor, 85, a longtime resident of Framingham, died Wednesday, June 18, 2025 after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, she was born the 5th of seven children to her beloved parents Charles (of New Brunswick Canada) & Mary (Crehan) Clark (of County Galway, Ireland) and was the devoted and loving wife of Dick Trainor for 63 years.

Raised and educated in Dorchester, Patricia earned her BS in English from Boston College magna cum laude. A devout Catholic and proud of her Irish heritage, she was extremely smart, generous, and witty. Patricia was passionate about American history, politics, and truly loved her quiet home.

The definition of a matriarch, Patricia loved her family. Besides her husband Dick, she is survived by her four children, Liz, Rick & his wife Michelle, Dan & his wife Lynn, and Deb Flanagan & her husband Todd, her ten cherished grandchildren, Maria & her fiance Ryan Andrade, Teresa, Daniel, Annie, Sarah, Danny, Joe, Brendan, Genevieve, and Jasmine, her brothers, John Clark, Admiral Charles Clark, her sister, Ann-Marie, her sister in-law and dear friend Elsie Trainor, her sister and best friend, Winifred Clark Wesner, and many nieces and nephews.

Patricia was predeceased by her brothers, Tom Clark and Bill Clark along with her golden retriever, Jenny.

Family and friends are invited to honor and remember Patricia’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St. Framingham on Sunday, June 22nd from 2-5PM. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning in St. George Church, 74 School St. Framingham at 10 o’clock. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, West Roxbury.
