ASHLAND – The Ashland School Committee voted this morning, December 28, to move to hybrid learning starting January 4, announced Superintendent of Schools Jim Adams.

“All schools will be in the hybrid model with Cohort A reporting for in-person learning,” announced Adams.

The Ashland “School Committee approved the start of winter sports with modifications,” added Adams.

January 19 will be the start of the winter sports season.

“It is important to note that while the School Committee has approved the return to hybrid on January 4, 2021, the ongoing COVID situation in Ashland will be closely monitored.  This could very well mean APS may have to transition back into a remote learning environment if our community numbers continue to increase and have an impact on our schools over the next week,” said Adams to families in an email today, December 28.

The School Committee voted to approve the Ashland winter season, with games starting no sooner than Jan 19, 2021, with the expectation that student athletes that participate in Ashland athletics will not participate in other in-person external competitive leagues or teams.
