FRAMINGHAM — All three of Framingham’s FREE testing sites (Staples, SMOC & Amazing Things Arts Center) have been extended to September 30, announced Senate President Karen Spilka this morning, September 4.
Sites are closed on Labor Day, but will re-open on Tuesday.
Amazing Things Arts Center is a free walk-up only site open on Tuesday & Thursday from 3 to 6 p.m. on Route 126.
South Middlesex Opportunity Council (SMOC) is a free walk-up testing site on Mondays, Wednesdays, 7 Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m. at 7 Bishop Street.

The Staples drive-thru site is at Staples HQ and is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The state is helping to fund these free testing sites as part of the Stop the Spread campaign.
Framingham Health Director Sam Wong has said the walk-up testing sites were specifically placed in neighborhoods in the city that are hot spots.
Framingham has the 6th highest rate of infection for the coronavirus in the last 14 days in the entire Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The rate is almost 3.5%.
For the last 14 days, the City of Framingham has averaged 10.9 cases per day.
Today, the state was meeting with Framingham to see what services it could provide.
