Richard L. Caporale (Dickie), 80, a longtime resident of Framingham died Thursday, October 3, 2024 after a period of declining health. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Louis and Dorothy (Luvisi) Caporale.

Dickie was raised and educated in Roslindale and Jamaica Plain. He worked for many years at the Puritan Diner in Watertown, eventually taking over the business from his father with his Uncle Paul. Afterwards, he went on to enjoy a long career as a custodian with the Framingham Public Schools. Dickie was a longtime member of the Framingham Lodge of Elks.

Dickie is survived by his sons, Richard L. Jr. and his wife Gretchen of Attleboro, and Jeffrey M. and his longtime partner Rebecca of North Oxford, his grandchildren, Lauren and Jacob, his sister, Janice Pease, his nephews, Michael and Gregg DeForge, his niece, Danielle Walls, as well as several great nieces and great nephews.

Family and friends will honor and remember Dickie’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the McCarthy, McKinney & Lawler Funeral Home, 11 Lincoln St., Framingham on Saturday, October 26th from 10AM – 2PM, with a prayer service to conclude.  Interment will be private.
